The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) reminds fans that the sale of Early Bird All-Session Passes for its Division III Baseball Championship in Appleton ends on Friday (May 19).
The championship, which will be held May 26-31 at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, is an eight-team, double-elimination tournament. Four games will be held on May 26, 27 and 28 while a maximum of two contests will be held on May 29 and 30. If necessary, one game could be played on May 31.
The Early Bird All-Session Pass is on sale for $15. The cost is a savings of $18 off the regular all-session price. Early Bird passes can be purchased by contacting the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers ticket office at (920) 733-4152 or the UW-Oshkosh Athletics Office at (920) 424-1383. They can also be obtained by going to www.timberrattlers.com.
After May 19, the price of the all-session pass rises to $33 for adults and $20 for students and senior citizens. A daily ticket to games on May 26-28 costs $11 for adults and $7 for students or senior citizens. Daily tickets to contests on May 29-31 are $7 for adults and $5 for students or senior citizens.
In the 2016 NCAA Division III Championship, Trinity University (Texas) won its first title in school history with a 10-7 victory over Keystone College (Pa.) in the final.
Lawrence University, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau are hosting the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship for the 18th straight year.
Other major local sponsors are the Bergstrom Corporation, J. J. Keller Foundation, Inc., Radisson Paper Valley Hotel and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium serves as the venue of this championship. The facility is the home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Class A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
