UW-Oshkosh's Taylor Grimm was selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week at designated hitter for games played March 5-11 as the Titans swept a doubleheader over nationally ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.) Saturday (March 10) in U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn.
UW-Oshkosh (3-2) upset the Tommies in seven-inning contests by scores of 4-3 in the first game and 6-3 in the nightcap.
Grimm hit a team-leading .667 with two home runs, one double and five runs batted in during the two victories over University of St. Thomas, which entered Saturday ranked 17th in the NCAA Division III by D3baseball.com.
Grimm, who also collected WIAC Position Player of the Week honors, went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in both games. He drove in all four of the Titan runs in the opener after homering in the fourth inning and hitting a three-run double in the sixth frame that provided UW-Oshkosh a 4-0 advantage.
Grimm's first two homers of the season increased his three-year career total to five.
Grimm and UW-Oshkosh head to Florida for seven games from March 16-23. The Titans open their trip to the Sunshine State on Friday (March 16) against Ripon College in Auburndale.
