Yoder Named To National Football Team Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh senior defensive back Cole Yoder was selected to the Team of the Week for games played Sept. 29.

Yoder, who intercepted two passes during the nationally ranked Titans' 48-14 victory at UW-River Falls, was one of two safeties to earn Team of the Week honors. Yoder collected a team-high six tackles against the Falcons and recorded interceptions in the second and fourth quarters. He now has a team-leading 29 tackles and four interceptions on the year. Yoder moved into a tie for third in program history with 16 career interceptions.

Yoder's first interception of the game preserved the Titans' 14-0 lead with 11:41 left in the second quarter. His second pick against the Falcons came with less than a minute to play in the third period as UW-Oshkosh held a 34-14 advantage. Yoder also broke up a third-down pass early in the third period

Yoder received Team of the Week honors for the first time. A total of 20 Titans have collected Team of the Week recognition since the award program debuted in 1999, including senior linebacker Derrick Jennings Jr., who was selected to the team for games played Aug. 30-Sept. 2 of this season.

UW-Stout junior safety Jed Schlegel joined Yoder on this week's national Team of the Week. Team of the Week • Week 5 (Sept. 29)
