Matt Wilke won both diving categories as UW-Oshkosh's lone competitor at the Luther College Men's Swimming & Diving Invitational held Saturday (Jan. 12) in Decorah, Iowa.
Wilke defeated two other participants in each event, totaling scores of 489.40 off the 1-meter board and 518.10 off the 3-meter plank.
UW-Oshkosh was also represented in competition on Saturday against Beloit and St. Norbert colleges in Beloit.
St. Norbert College won the triangular with 106 points while UW-Oshkosh finished second with 57 and Beloit College third with 50.
Jarrett Lieder paced the Titans in Beloit by winning the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:00.83 and the 1,650-yard freestyle with a swim of 17:20.23.
UW-Oshkosh's Case Geidl won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.92 seconds and helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team finish second with a performance of 3:20.89 and the 400-yard medley relay squad place third with an effort of 3:57.23.
The Titans' remaining second-place finishes belonged to Jernberg and Gerondale. Jernberg recorded times of 1:05.62 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 18:17.38 in the 1,650-yard freestyle while Gerondale registered a time of 50.32 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle.
Sewell owned two of UW-Oshkosh's other third-place finishes after swimming to times of 52.50 in the 100-yard freestyle and 1:55.08 in the 200-yard freestyle. Else contributed a third-place time of 19:57.65 in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
UW-Oshkosh's fourth-place listings included a pair by Bain and one each from Else and Gerondale.
Bain swam to times of 1:00.01 in the 100-yard backstroke and 2:20.88 in the 200-yard individual medley while Else recorded a time of 1:09.16 in the 100-yard breaststroke and Gerondale a time of 1:56.78 in the 200-yard freestyle.
UW-Oshkosh performs against UW-La Crosse on Saturday (Jan. 19) in La Crosse.
