The UW-Oshkosh swimming & diving team suffered a 144-89 setback to UW-Whitewater despite a pair of wins by Sydney Challoner on Saturday (Nov. 12) in Albee Hall.
Challoner won both the 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard butterfly races in times of 2:41.20 and 2:24.04, respectively.
Challoner easily outpaced the time of 2:43.83 by Maddy Carroll from UW-Whitewater in the 200-yard breaststroke. Challoner also won the 200-yard butterfly by more than three seconds over Warhawk Anna Wolf's time of 2:27.10.
Barnstable scored 227.55 points on the 3-meter board to eke past Kraus' total of 224.80.
Kraus compiled 259.28 points on the 1-meter plank to defeat the 224.33 points by Barnstable and UW-Oshkosh's Johnna Seelman in third place with 105.90.
Halkola cruised to a six-second victory in the 200-yard backstroke with her time of 2:14.60. Stephanie Haebig finished second in 2:21.00. Halkola also added a third-place effort with a time of 2:05.38 in the 200-yard freestyle race won by UW-Whitewater's Bailey Weston in 2:03.43.
Rounding out UW-Whitewater's individual winners were Alyssa Haertl with a time of 26.77 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle, Margaret Lotzer with a time of 10:57.42 in the 1,000-yard freestyle, Michaela Matthys with a time of 55.60 second in the 100-yard freestyle, Shayna Putney with a time of 2:22.82 in the 200-yard individual medley and Weston with a time of 5:34.05 in the 500-yard freestyle.
The Warhawks also claimed both relay races. UW-Whitewater's Sarah Arteaga, Melanie Carlson, Grace Devine and Matthys won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:56.29. Arteaga, Carlson, Matthys and Erin Hawker won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:43.62.
UW-Oshkosh heads to UW-Eau Claire for a dual meet next Saturday (Nov. 19).
